Luxury of the Simple Life

credit: models.com
I used to post all of my favorite editorials a long time ago and then stopped, so I thought I'd bring it back today!
This was styled by George Cortina November 2010 for Vogue Nippon. I happened to pick up the magazine on a street newspaper stand last year and still have these scans pinned on my wall. I love George's work, and he has incredible personal style too.

Ordinary Day

These Fendi rain boots are my latest score- I found them on super sale and couldn't resist! My best friend snapped these photos of me yesterday after a quick lunch and tons of laughter... we can't take anything seriously when we're together.
Wearing Elizabeth and James fur vest, American Apparel striped pullover, Hudson Nico jeans, J.crew belt, and vintage brass cuff.

Sunday's Best

As you can probably tell from reading my blog, Sundays are the days I like to dress up. I think it's very important to have one day a week where you put on your favorite dress and do whatever you need to do to feel pretty.

I found this dress at Hubba Hubba about a year ago and wore it in New York for a couple hours back in October. I loved it so much and wore it again yesterday!
Dress worn with vintage Weiss brooch, vintage sterling silver rings, and Louboutin Pigalles.

Blackest Black

When I can't find anything to wear in my closet, I usually resort to all-black. I wore this outfit yesterday to devour some lox and eggs at my favorite cafe...
Wearing vintage leather motorcycle jacket, Elizabeth and James trousers, Super sunglasses, and OPI's Roadhouse Blues.

Holiday Wish List

I've always been a big fan of holiday dream wish lists- I used to do them a lot more when I first started blogging, so I thought I'd do one for this Christmas season:

Guerlain Shalimar Initial

I was so delighted when Guerlain asked me to create my own vision of their more contemporary version of the original Shalimar, Shalimar Initial. An absolutely feminine and seductive fragrance, it's something you can wear everyday. These photos are inspired by the beautifully innocent and ethereal fragrance...
You can learn more about it here!

Fuzzy Knits

I've had this cropped angora sweater sitting in my closet for a while. I found at Luxe De Ville awhile back along with the tribal puff-sleeved blouse I posted a few months ago.
My favorite part are the cute little bell sleeves!
The holiday colors in the background were unintentional, but I like it. Wearing vintage sweater, Rogan trousers, vintage lucite bangles, Rayban sunglasses, Louboutin Pigalle pumps (promise to stop wearing them soon... they just go with everything), and OPI Glitzerland nail polish.
