Wearing vintage silk blouse, orange bubble skirt and satin bow-tie clutch by F21, vintage chandelier earrings and sunglasses, Lamb strappy heels, American Apparel floppy hat
karla, i'm in love with you. your style is so flawless.
and hey anomynous, would a woman in her 30s wear a skirt like that? i sure hope not. just because she dresses way classier than people her age doesn't mean it's too mature...
Beautiful blouse! You look like summer personified. And that Anonymous commenter is an idiot - classy + sexy can be cone at any age, and you pull it off great! Ignore!
Phew, I'm kind of early today it seems :) I disgree with Anonymous #1..a young can adopt a matured style but ppl who are older adopting younger styles r a definite faux pas. And I definitely agree with anon #2.. this doesnt look 30's-ish at all :) this is what i call classic chic! great combo Karla!
soooo i def also ordered this skirt and sent it back as soon as i got it - after, of course, i stopped laughing at myself in the mirror - somehow, though, like with everything else, you are pulling it off! go ahead, girl.
and to anonymous: a persons style is watever she feels comfortable in. doesnt matter wat era its from. the fact that she can wear something so vintage is wat makes her original.
If you're ever walking down the street and a random girl just hugs you, don't panic, it's me... I LOVE YOU! This outfit is gorg!!! I like everything about it.
That is indeed one short skirt, but you are working it, as always Karla. However, I do think the head area is too much to look at. It would have been nice to see the hat and the earrings, or the hat and the sunnies, or the sunnies and the earrings...definitely not all three at once.
Still, love that blouse. I think it's the same you wore in a post w/ your longer hair, with the "dangerous" spike belt? Haha, I read your blog waaaayyy too much.
you look rad, i love how you can rock anything and own it. i have major closet envy!
and to the Annonymous that made the thighs comment... Seriously?! isnt the fashion industry fucked up enough with misconceptions of beauty and skewed body image? we should be moving away from those perceptions not perpetuating them. karla your legs rock, you're one hot lady.
this is so classy summery and fun all at the same time. maybe you do look a bit older but whats the harm in changing up ones look from day to day- thats what keeps things exciting right?! lovely!
Love it, the skirt is such a nice clour and the blouse was a great find!! Call me crazy, but for some reason it bugs me that your shadow is infront of you! Haha. Nevertheless, you look amazing as always! xxx
This is probably one of my favourite looks you've ever worn, its so 1940s romantic. Loving the mix of colours and fabrics. Ohh and I want that silk blouse it reminds me of one of Dree Hemingway's looks from her recent editorial in Russian Vogue.
First of all, I actually cant breathe I need that top Second, Im jealous of your legs Third, I would smack( a polite smack of course;) you for those shoes and fourth, Karla Ive been a huge fan of your blog, and your going to meet me sooner or later in the future if god lets it be! hehe
I just popped by your blog and I must tell you I love your style. It's very old hollwood glamour...for some odd reason it reminds me of Ava Gabor so much. Karla you are gorgeous! Keep up with the awesome styling!
i love the skirt, it's killer... i love the blouse... but these 2 are too much to be frank... and hat is overdone... just stop overdoing it... and remember rule leave one thing before leaving home... the hat should have been left home for sure...
this look is so silly it's stupid I mean c'mon NOW the skirt's cute but NOT MADE for YOU .... AND talk about Trend OVER KILL! why are YOU wearing earrings, sunglasses and a huge old ugly floppy hat all at the same time????
The entire outfit is a "hot mess" let's title this post: "Grandma gone wild at the Circus and meets a Clown!"
HA! I think it's funny when people leaving insulting comments, yet don't have the balls to leave an email or something like that so they can be confronted later about their rude comments...
...Screw them, Karla...as always, you are a huge inspiration...I may not go for the skirt (I have a Kim Kardashian booty going on and don't want to flash the town I'm in my cheekiness), but I definately am going to find a blouse close to that...It's look wonderful with my pencil skirts and wide legged slacks...
You know what, you make me want to get a hat like that too...and I'm no fan of hats...
I never think skirts are too short, so no comment on that, but i do think that this outfit is not great for your figure.. don't get me wrong ur hot as hell in bikini but this just doesnt fit right i think... love
i think those floppy hats look better with those outfits that dont look as if they took 5 hours to create...you know, the nonchalant, laid-back look. It just looks a little contrived here (not "hating"...its just my opinion!) I like your shoes though and the blouse is lovely.
I agree with some people here...pieces are lovelly separate, but they didn't work so well together. It's too much volume for your petite figure, and the skirt is too short (I like them though).
You should try this beautiful blouse with tight pants or shorts.
I love the skirt! the entire outfit reminds of something Audrey Hepburn would wear :) you have amazing style, and are definitely a style icon of mine :)
I feel like this is very "Old Hollywood" and I love it. This is one of my favorite outfits you have ever worn and you really pull it off well! Love big hats like that :)

The blouse is absolutely gorgeous.
"Run Karla, Run!"
Sorry, couldn't help myself :)
Cute outfit.
ew.
Consider the mantra "less is more" when it comes to bold accessories (hat, earrings, sunnies)
I like your shoes. Have a wonderful weekend!
i love the skirt, it's killer... i love the blouse... but these 2 are too much to be frank... and hat is overdone... just stop overdoing it... and remember rule leave one thing before leaving home... the hat should have been left home for sure...
love this outfit.. you look fabulous!
xo
LOOOOOVE YOUR FLOPPY HAT!
I like all the pieces individually, but not together.
I think you're super pretty!
classy, indeed.
The accessories ruin everything, otherwise the outfit is nice. The old Karla was just more effortless, you just try too hard nowadays.
I've always wanted this kind of hat but I'm not sure if i could pull it off. it looks great on you, though!

you are SOO fat.
OMG this is one of your most gorgeous outfits! I loooove the color mix and fabrics <3
I agree with some people here...pieces are lovelly separate, but they didn't work so well together. It's too much volume for your petite figure, and the skirt is too short (I like them though).
You should try this beautiful blouse with tight pants or shorts.
And be careful with so many accessories together.
I like your trials!
so nice.
what a lovely top!
Love the skirt and the colour is fab xoxox
this is such a colorful outfit. I like how you mixed the blue and orange together.

This is so old Hollywood glamor. That hat perfects this look and the pop of blue was such a smart addition to this outfit. Love
