So glad to see those luxurious fringed pants back again! Love how you paired them with the oversized masculine blazer, and I adore your nail-colour!! I can never find a red that bright, only pink!

Keep up the great work, and thanks again for your email about packing, I've just bought an even bigger suitcase to try and hold everything. Argh!

Karla, I love your style to death, truly, and 9 times out of 10, I would defend it without question, but this just isn't working for me.

Your blog is fabulous though, and I can't wait for you to wear those patent leather sneakers!

Keep up the excellent work! :D

Petra said...

Beautiful! You are such a great example of how with confidence, you can pull off/wear anything.

Quick question... Do you remove the shoulder pads from your vintage blazers? They look structured yet not obnoxiously so. I though perhaps I had read once on here that you take them out? Thank you! xx

Anonymous said...

love the pants love the nail color. LOVE the nail color.

everything you want to keep secret (brand-wise) you put 'vintage' or you don't mention it at all...funny.

Beautifull. I think you are very beautifull, elegant and charming. Well, even if this post is about the pants, i think adore all the other details that goes with them... :) Belt is amazing too. NICE!

I haven´t seen the pants the first time around - they look great. Personally I wouldn´t wear them with such a long blazer, they look a little caged that way.
Anyway, you look fabulous! :) I love the shoes --- as always

PINK HAIRED PRINCESS said...

On paper this really shouldn't work and fringed trousers? I never even knew such an item existed, they really, really shouldn't work. However before anyone flames me, I adore this outfit, I'm starting to think you'd look great in a binbag, seriously. Gorgeous look and so unusual! Ooh and love the neon nail polish.

Sunshine said...

golly i love those pants! similar to the ruffled pants i've been coveting.

As soon as I saw the picture two thoughts came to my head:

Then when I read what you wrote I just giggled.

By the way, The nail polish color is great.

I love the blazer with the belt! stunning and the polish really
p o p s with this outfit! amazing!

xx

dani said...

i LOVE all the individual pieces and a few of them together, but there's something off that i can't really pinpoint. maybe the blazer is too long/oversized for the awesomeness of the pants, and the pants are too amazing for the classic chicness of the blazer. both are statement pieces, but they just don't seem to speak the same language. but it doesn't look ridiculous either! it's just slightly off. on me, "slightly off" would be a total miss, but on you, a little wrong could be so right.

sorry for blabbing and probably not making any sense. i think i'm saying the outfit is great and you're lucky to have so much confidence to just wear what you like. don't let anyone let you confuse that with cockiness (someone left a comment like that on one of your past posts, i think the tutu one... he/she was dead wrong).

anywho, love the nail polish!

little a said...

OPI has a nailpolish colour that looks similar to the one Karla is wearing that is really cool. It's called Paint My Moji-Toes Red. It's a really bright corally red. It adds a little spunk to any outfit! Enjoy!

but the blazer is awful, i don't care if its 'vint' Lanvin, and the belt is awful, it's 100% middle-aged mom. and the 3 items together? well you've managed to ruin the best pants with the worst styling.

forget whoever said burn the pants - burn that blazer! it looks hideous. what kind of awful texture is it anyway? it's gotta be synthetic.
