It's sort of funny how I haven't worn any pants for the past few days... must be because I keep getting fooled by the ridiculously bright sunlight beaming through my windows, therefore assuming the temperature outside is like eighty-five degrees when in reality, it's only sixty.
Anyway, I purchased a pair of converse as a way of breaking the "high heel" barrier and I'm kind of excited. Sneakers I've purchased in the past were usually paired with yoga pants and nike sweats (I was a hip hop dancer up until I screwed up my knee). Now I am eagerly awaiting their arrival as I plan on wearing them with structured black coats, thermal leggings, and brightly-colored blazers.

Way to take on the california cold, I've been all bundled up. I love those shoes and earrings, you are amazing at dressing up simple pieces with amazing accessories.
I feel like sneakers wants to make a come back. I mean, didn't you see those recent sneaker wedges by who I'm assuming is by DKNY? I mean come on, they were screaming for a come back!
Plus, I think how Ashley Olsen has been sporting it around lately makes me just want to pull out a pair of black Nike's, pair it with leggings and a nice thick long coat. :)

Oh god, you are preaching to the choir. I live in San Francisco. One day it rains, one day is hot. I look out my window and see fog yet whenever I get to school it's clear skies. I like the femininity of this look but I don't think you really "need" the scarf. It is a statement piece but I think the beauty of the dress is it's simplicity and ability to just stand alone.
