Wow, I didn't think what was meant as a joke would cause such a stir. I come from a family that's constantly joking around, we're always making fun of each other and none us are sensitive nor do we ever take any of it personal. I never meant to hurt anyone's feelings... I seem to forget my sarcasm doesn't translate well on the internet. So if I offended anyone, I apologize.
Anyway, I'm so proud of myself for managing to trot across uneven cobblestone grounds in five-inchers without twisting an ankle. It kind of made me feel like I won't be needing those high-top converse or triple-buckle boots for my European vacation after all!

«Oldest ‹Older 201 – 240 of 240a loooong while ago you said you'd post more videos, and maybe some of you singing. I'M STILL WAITING!! haha i'd love to hear you sing. also i'd love to see another post showcasing your brother and boyfriend's styles!
i would love to see your closet and room too! i love your outfits!
love everything about this post! x
KARLALALALALALLA YOU MUST CHECK OUT THE CHRISTIAN LACROIX FALL 2009 RTW LINE! I think you will really love it. It seems to be similar to the clothing you've been currently coveting. I Just saw photo's from Paris Fashion Week and LOVE IT.
Eh...don't really like this outfit. I miss your old style.
Oh, Wanderlusting. The fashion industry's view on fashion and the general public's view on fashion is completely different. People in the fashion industry/blogosphere are bound to be made fun by the general public with their distinctive styles. The best they can do is just ignore it, they just don't see fashion as the industry sees it. If they care so much about the general public, then it seems like they're dressing for them not for themselves. Like I said previously, the girl making fun of the leggings was rude, but Karla commenting on her physical features wasn't any better. Justice does not equal vengeance.
(And a lot of people hate leggings, so if you were leggings, you just have to see it coming)
At least Karla made a fashion statement, LOL.
Karla: This outfit is gorgeous, and that bag. I absolutely loathe you for your Marc Jacob bags. You're so lucky you're going to Italy! I was supposed to go there next year, but thanks to our shitty economy, it's a no-go. Good for you for apologizing to the readers. Let's now hope that both sides calm down, because neither is right and it's becoming chaotic.
where are you? im fixin for an outfit post
I really love your blog, Karla. The dress fits you beautifully and I love how you paired it with dark tights and platform pumps. Your style is fantastic.
beautiful photos and dress, as usual!

oh my. i'm fallin in lovw with the dress!!!!
Karla, you have GREAT inspirational style, period.
As for the whole 'triple chin-girl episode' stated below, I honestly think you had a good comeback but in my opinion, we should keep those 'comebacks' for us, BUT still, you've shown your honesty and that you really were spontaneous enough to 'forget' that mean people who comment your blog, being extremely offensive, (probably don't have a life or just have a triple chin, lol) they would argue so much about this and you were 'nayve'- in a good way though, you know? - Anyways, your style is awsome.
P.S: for those who stated she looked kind of cocky, please shut up. She's just so damn chic and refined as you guys would like to be and never got the guts to pull out an outfit like she does.
You go Karla!
this dress is so fab, ure so chic!!!
These photos are so gorgeous, you look timeless. I'm with a previous commenter...show us your show collection!
I agree with Biamah - when I saw Stella Fall 09 I totally thought of your style + blog. Didn't you?
Yes, yes, yes! The Dress is a fairytale!
I really have to say that I just LOVE your hair, it suits you so well! A real beauty!
lovely dress!
You're just GORGEOUS here, it's one of the best blog-photoshoots ever, the colours are great, like your outfit!
P.S.
That girl won't become a fashion journalist/designer/anything for sure, she'll probably end up selling Big Macs...that's a great outfit! You could turn anything into haute couture, how do you do that?
P.P.S.
I'd like to exchange the links, my blog is here:

Bye!
I can't believe that was once a wedding dress...genius!
I love the sleeve details.
I love the pop of the nails in the monochrome colour palette, it is juust right.
Also Florence and Rome aren't as bad as everyone makes out I don't think, and if anyone can handle it in heels it would have to be you!
wow that dress is fabulous
Love the dress! I'd like a closer look at the detailing...perhaps you could do a DIY-type post about how you altered it?
I've read posts from at least five major fashion bloggers recounting times they were made fun of by random people for taking fashion risks, and usually the bloggers' responses have had something to do with putting down the heckler's appearance. Sure, it's kneejerk and not exactly what Snow White would do, but blunt humor works to diffuse the embarrassment of rudeness, and it's a hell of a lot funnier and more badass than crying about it.
Anyway, this dress is very striking and lovely, and I can't imagine why anyone would think it was too short--its shortness is what makes it so cute! Anything longer wouldn't be as modern.
Wow! Youre outfits are always amazing... I'll just go "borrow" my mums old weddingdress.. ;)
this is so so gorgeous!
wow the first picture is amazing!
gorgeous!
No offense but that has to be the lamest apology ever.
If she was a part of your family then why didn't you just say so? You made it sound like she was some random girl you decided to make fun of.
Shallow.
Did you hem that dress yourself? It's perfect - I never would have thought of it as someone's old wedding dress. My favorite thing about it is the architecture - the shape is so flattering!
that dress is tremendous. it fits you like a glove, beautiful.
love
i love everything about this outfit, and you're beautiful!
wow, the dress is amazing!

You do not need to apologize for what you said!! That girl should be the one apologizing, you were just having lunch with your family- SHE was the rude one. I come from a family of jokesters too, and some people are just too sensitive.
