Silly Love

Photobucket
Photobucket
I love the silhouette of these vintage navy blue pants. I paired them with a simple white tank and borrowed my boyfriend's favorite brown belt. My waist is too small for the belt and I couldn't buckle it so I just knotted it. Wearing an H&M tank, vintage pants, and Marc by Marc Jacobs ankle boots.

So so good. The boots look unexpectedly amazing with the cropped pants. Your hair is sweet here too.

Haha I kind of stole my mum's belt to do this with. She's not noticed yet.

I love the simplicity of this - you're a total genius. I'm dying for some boy pants, I just can't quite find the right pair. I tell you, little English boys have a really limited choice of clothing!

alis said...

"Sadly, my waist is too small" -haha.. Keep a belt stapler(??) in your back pocket and secretly punch a hole in your boyfriend's belt. It's like having a drawer in his room :P
Although I think I like it tied even more..

I love the belt idea, it's perfect (any chance you could actually keep the belt? ;)). I've just read your whole blog and be sure I'll be coming back for more.

I love everything about this outfit... the boots, the silhouette of the pants, the belt. I was wondering though if I could ask you about the m by mj boots. I've been lusting after them since I saw them on Melanie Hunyh and you and Rumi have just made my affection for them deepen lol. Lately I've been seriously considering buying them but since I live in Canada with shipping and customs they would be close to $600! What I wanted to know from you was do you think they are worth that type of money and just your general opinion of them. I've heard some people say they've had the heel break off and if I am going to put down that type of money I want to know that the quality is up to par.

Adore the pants, and what you did with the belt! I've tried it, but I suppose you need a really soft, worn-in one to make it work properly.
I also love your haircut!

Sorry it’s taken me some time to answer comments! I started school last week, so I’ve been a bit swamped with homework :(

we wear things: Tying them is so much better right?

mavis: hahah, I like that (librarian and indiana jones)! ;)

...love maegan: I feel you sister. my boyfriend used to find high-waisted so ugly, but I believe he has become immune to the look :)

rumi: ahhhh! my hair is getting to be a bit too light. hmm, oh well.

hannah: I actually found these at a thrift store in the old lady’s section. try looking a pair of schoolboy pants at a local thrift store!

alis: actually I did attempt poking an extra hole so that the belt could fit me, but A) I felt like I was destroying his “private property” and B) The end of the belt was super long so it dangled funny and definitely wasn’t a good look.

citona: aw thanks! you’re toooo sweet lady!

carla: Thanks! LOVE your name by the way ;)

ashleigh: I use photobucket to host my pictures instead of uploading them from my computer to blogger.

maddi: Oh really? Hmm, well try looking for the trousers at a thrift store, I found these trousers there!

eliza: I emailed you! :)

ferret: Aw, thanks- glad you’re enjoying my blog!

vix: Well I personally love them. I find them comfortable, and surprisingly they go with almost everything. I haven’t had my heel break off or any other malfunctions, so I’m pretty happy with them... I say you get them! :)

knight cat: I got size medium!

vintage vinyl: You can choose the wide template in your layout settings!

adiel: Ahhh, that’s quite the compliment! If you cut your hair, you have to post pictures :)

joie de vivre: Aw thank you!

kirsty lee: Ah, what can I say, it’s a gift....JUST KIDDING!

anon1:26: I guess I tend to wear my favorite pieces a little too much...oh well, it makes me happy! :)

lydia: Yea, the belt definitely has to be worn in, otherwise looping it creates a funky effect.
